Misfits Dance Camp 2017
Video above is from the Misfits Dance Camp this 2017. Ysabelle Capitule came down with more than 15 other choreographers to teach. (I must be liking her a lot since this is the second video I’ve posted of her so far.) Choreographers include Kevin and Dea, Jun Quemado, Ian Eastwood, and many more!
Again, I’m just loving the vibe she has. It’s not as technical as some of the other dances I’ve watched but it’s definitely fun and groovy. I’m particularly fond of the twerk she’s doing though! I’m not really a fan of twerking but when it’s done in a not so sleazy manner then I’m all for it.
Looking at the students taking the class, I noticed that they’re not particular about arm or leg placements. This leads me to believe that maybe a class with Ysabelle Capitule is more about developing your own feel or flow rather than actual technique. I see a lot of them playing around with certain parts of the music that I couldn’t really appreciate it as a group performance. Still everyone was fun to watch and it makes me wonder what I would learn if I finally decide to take a class under her.

I’m actually not really familiar with the song but it’s really so pleasant and easy to listen to. Keone Madrid is on another level when he choreographed this song. Taking inspiration from clowns, he turns a hung coat into a new dance partner.
These moves are initially simple, conveying nothing but affection for the imagined partner. When they let go of the coats it then jumps into more complex and intricate combinations that show nothing but joy and need for a person they miss.
Wonderful concept and beautiful location. Not only that but Vibrvncy does and excellent job in capturing the choreography even with all the block changes they do. I can only imagine the small space they have and they were able to maximize it.
Note: I adore the animation for Keone and Mari’s logo! The ‘&’ was used to really show off the partnership that they share.

DanceOn Class combines hit music with the DanceOn Network’s incomparable talent to help you learn the latest dance trends and hear the music that makes the dance community move and groove! This week features choreography from Ysabelle Capitule, featuring Hurricane Chris’s “Halle Berry (She’s Fine)” ft. Superstarr. The video was directed & edited by Rickie “Typo” Crouch.
Taking a break from NBC World of Dance posts to show some appreciation for Ysabelle Capitule. I may not have taken her class when she went to Manila but I do enjoy watching her videos. If you have the time, make sure to check her out on Instagram. I think she posts more there and you even get to see her crazy and funnier side too.
NOTE: Song content isn’t clean but I want you to focus on people having fun with the song rather than the message.
I mentioned before that I’m going to be sharing more dance videos now so I hope you stay tuned every week to see more of my favorites!
